What do you like best about Rev?

The task was to create a closed caption for the video in VTT format for Hubspot Academy lessons.

The trial was enough to get what I wanted.

1. Quickly processed the video (I didn't even check what input formats it accepts - it accepted and that's it)

2. quickly made the subtitles

3. easily and intuitively displayed the subtitles, they can be edited directly in the editor

4. delivered in the format requested by Hubspot

I saw everything for the first time - starting from googling the meaning of the word "caption", and ending with googling "VTT format".

I tried a few services on top of Google - but they required me to pay at the beginning.

With Rev, I completed my task without problems. I recommend it.

What do you dislike about Rev?

they sent me a letter, however I unsubscribed from any newsletters. But it's not a problem. I'm sending welcome letters too.

What do you like best about Rev?

It's the best transcription service for interviews that I've found to date - very clear and fast.

What do you dislike about Rev?

The price per month could be a little lower.

It quickly transcribes complex medical terms, including medications and biochemical names.

What do you like best about Rev?

Rev makes it easy to get captions to make any video more accessible in any way you desire. You can easily get captions burned directly on videos, or get them as a seperate caption file to be an optional track on a site like YouTube

What do you dislike about Rev?

The "speaker" function doesn't work so you cannot enter the names of speakers so those will be spelled right consistently. Also would prefer there to be a place to enter keywords (names of counties/cities or other things said multiple times) so those are spelled correctly.

What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rev is making it much easier for us to make our videos not only complaint but accessible to anyone who watches so they can enjoy our content. That benefits us by making our videos more appealing to people who may have hearing issues or want to have that caption track so they can follow along with what is said.

What do you like best about Rev?

For years, I have been transcribing videos on my own and sometimes the captions can take as long as the initial edit. This tool is so easy. The fact that it comes back in a format that not only makes everything accessible for our audiences but also makes it easy to identify each speaker and pull specific quotes - and does all of that within a few hours - has saved me time and headaches. I can't imagine ever going back to the old way.

What do you dislike about Rev?

I truly haven't found any aspect of Rev that I do not like. Since I began using it, I have found that the user interface is simple and straightforward, and the product's end result is exactly what I am looking for. No complaints!

What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?

My videos are often produced under the shadow of a tight deadline. As a company that is required by law to make its content accessible on the Internet, we need captions and they can sometimes be an exhausting last step. Rev's services allow me to wrap up my edit and know that the transcription is being provided quickly without me needing to do any work of my own, so I can focus on writing the copy for a social media post or an email and not the transcription.
