No downside. Have yet to experience any major issues with Birdeye and I use it almost every day!
What problems is Birdeye solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enables our business to hear first hand from clients what we are doing right, and what we are doing wrong. This gives us an opporutinity to fix issues, thank the client for their feedback, and post positive reviews on our website. Most new clients will read reviews to decide where to take their business, and quick replies from the business are a sign that we care what our customers think. Birdeye makes this easier to do with their timely communication. Also has AI generate responses which are relevant and will written and are very helpful when you can't always think of something to reply to a client review!

I also love that all customer data is centralized, making it simple to analyze trends and share insights through customizable dashboards. I love how easily I can update hours in one place and it pushes the updates everywhere, creating a single source of truth. The regular updates and new features keep improving the platform, and my executive team appreciates the clear, actionable data Birdeye provides.
What do you dislike about Birdeye?
I don’t love that Yelp doesn’t play well in the sandbox, but Birdeye makes it as easy as possible to work around those restrictions. They’ve found ways to help us stay on top of Yelp reviews, even with the limitations.

The reporting tools are great, and the customer support is amazing—they’re always available to answer questions and can even create personalized reports if you need them. Anytime we’ve had to integrate something new, they’re on it and make the process smooth. Definitely recommend!
What do you dislike about Birdeye?
Birdeye can be a bit glitchy at times. Switching between functions, like reports with filters, can sometimes cause it to reset what you were initially working on. Additionally, the AI feature does not learn your brand voice overtime, which means this feature is not very helpful when responding to reviews for our company.
What problems is Birdeye solving and how is that benefiting you?
Birdeye allows all of our communities/entities to be in one place to monitor their reviews with ease. We get frequent reviews, and having everything streamlined in one place has made my job more efficient. It saves time, keeps us organized, and ensures we never miss an opportunity to respond or engage with reviewers. The reporting function is also a huge plus, helping our onsite teams better understand their reviews and take actionable feedback.

The listings tool helps us to manage store hours updates, and stay connected across many platforms. For a brand with 75 locations, we only have a couple people logged into the tool for daily or as needed use; but many employees receive scheduled reports.
What do you dislike about Birdeye?
Like all softwares, Birdeye can have its faults. Sometimes listings updates don't stick, and Facebook and Google tend to be disconnected frequently (although unsure if this is more of a Meta Business / GMB problem). An integration with rewards platforms, better review solicitation options, and perfect listings management would bring my score to a 10.

Our leadership team is always very responsive, friendly, and happy to review/implement modifications I've recommended. The AI option is wonderful, provides really cool options and is extremely user-friendly! The Reports section provides great stats for our entire time to review and make changes where needed, based on customer opinions. Would definitely recommend this software to anyone who needs help getting and managing reviews, as well as popular business listings!!
There are many feature available that we don't use only because each shop already has this feature on other software they're using and have used for a long time. We use the software daily!
What do you dislike about Birdeye?
The AI review response suggestions can be improved by adding in keyword phrases to assist with 'Google Juice', and adding the city within the response.
IF Yelp ever allowed Birdeye to include their reviews it would be nice!
The Google Business Profile "Asked for Directions" stats should truly not be displayed this stat is inaccurate. I can confirm this with my own business. No one has ever showed up at my door, yet ~48 people ask for directions each month, per Google. Wildly inaccurate!

What problems is Birdeye solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our General Managers and front desk staff seldom took time to ask for reviews before, but now that we're investing in this software, the owner is requiring them to use it. Consistently getting reviews helps us prepare for times when we're not as busy. And hopefully the number of great reviews we have now steer prospects into giving us a chance.
From the Admin area, I can see which of our 11 shops are sending out emails, and I can't seem to get them to also ask for the email address because this would hopefully increase our chance of getting a review. I remind them every month, but only 2 shops ask for email addresses. They say customers don't want constant emails from us although they tell them we won't send them an email except for one time as a reminder if they didn't leave a review for us. I wonder if any 'helper text' in the email reminder telling them we won't email them but once would help. Any help would be appreciated.
The team always has great tips and recommendations any time I reach out. They did offer to send the text requests out for us, but they would have to put name/email on a spreadsheet and that would take longer.
The AI reponses are THE BOMB! I use them but modify as needed, but when have 'brain fog' the responses are fantastic, and provide options, which is also wonderful.
